Insulation under headliner

What kind of insulation are you guys using under your headliner. I'm looking at Summit and found sound absorbing thermal insulation foam liners (879026)It's self adhesive, 1/4" for $49.00. I live in Missouri and I'm worried the heat/humidity will melt the adhesive. Thoughts???

Great stuff, very light weight and easy to work with. Light is good in a headliner application. Heavy insulation can fall down from its own weight.
 
Check out the insulation at Lowe's. They have a roll of 1/4 inch insulation with the silver film on it heat and sound foam center. Think of using it with 3M adhesive glue. It is not the price but other product's they are proud of it. Still have to buy a lot of thing's still so try and save money where I can. :lol: Just checked out the carinsulation.com it says to lay down a good glue to install. This look's just like what Lowe's sell's for roof insulation. Think it come's in 16 inch wide and don't remember how long. But has a fire rating. Let's see some pic's buddy.

Well just checked it out again and they say you have to order three roll's. So going to check out the store to see if they have it their. R rating 3.0 to 21 and class A fire rating.
 
Hey Big block I used 1/4 foam on a roll at Home Depot it has s vapor barrier and just a thought you could use boom mat stick it to the roof first for sound and heat
 
What ever glue you use the heat from sun will over time degrade glue. How many modern headliners you sre falling down? So for the little insulation it may provide over time it will fall off.
 
Ended up getting the X matt form Eastwood butyl heat and sound. It is used for under hood and roof to reduce heat and sound. 75 dollars and it covered the hole roof. :thumbsup2:
