Just messing around with my new DeskTop Dyno toy. Interesting that when I change the stroke noted on 440Source website for their 383 to 496 Stroker Kit, the software suggests that I actually LOSE a significant amount of HP and TQ. Leaving carb at 750 CFM, Cam XE275HL, 1.6 ratio, headers, high-flow aluminum intake. Since mine is already .030 over, it's about 389 CID and making significantly more power (per the software) without the Stroker.

What am I missing? I'm assuming with all those extra cubes, I'd need to alter other things??

Thanks,

John

That doesn't sound right. Even undercammed and a small cylinder head it will make more torque down low with the stroker. So I think the desk top dyno is proving its worth to you right now.

Hahahahah. Yea, that's what I thought. Seemed odd to me as well. Adding more cubes to that build should have increased HP/TQ, I think. Oh well, the software was $40 and it's fun to play with.
