All after a long break I finally installed my A-833 trans and going through attaching the linkage. I found in my parts box two Z-bars, both look similar but one is slightly shorter in length (the main tube). I'm sure both will work, but is there a certain length size for the 69 B-Body?

Slightly meaning a sixteenth or?
I'd be more concerned about the spacing and " clocking" of the lever arms. If they're positioned correctly a small deviation in the tube length shouldn't be too much of a concern.

Went to my manual and looked through the materials. I did finally recognize the right Z-bar to use. It is installed now and seems to work fine.
