Looking for my stolen 1969 Road Runner Convertible

In January 1974 my 1969 Plymouth Roadrunner convertible was stolen in New Britain CT. I finished my senior year of school driving my motorcycle. I was miserable. I bought the car but it was in my dad’s name. He had liability but no theft insurance. Color green, 383, 4 speed, bench front seat. Police told me I had almost no chance to recover it.

In 2024 Mom died and the title was found in my file with other of my papers.

I'll give you the advice I've put on here before that I've been laughed at for get a private detective with that vin they can go through the National Crime Institute with the vin to see if it's somewhere titled or come up in some form or fashion. My guess somebody stripped it and threw the shell away for when it was done because they weren't that valuable back then

Looking at the certificate of title, all numbers and letters are clear except the M

It could possibly be a H

Just checked.
RM27 is a road runner convertible.
R = Belvedere or Roadrunner
B = Medium price class roadrunner trim
H = 383 motor
9= 1969
G = St Louis Plant

?? What do you mean? That is exactly correct for a 69 Roadrunner convertible with a 383.

It’s been my dream for 52 years to find it and get my 1969 Roadrunner convertible back. Found the title in my Mom’s
papers after she passed last year.
With today’s VIN computerization methods
it gives me new hope.

Like stated striped and parted out. Or it could have left the country. Crooks are pretty smart and know all the tricks. If parts are replaced the vin is not always stamped on them. I did stamp numbers on most of the sheet metal when replacing it as with frame rails. They say you should not do it according to laws. But I thought it would be better than not doing it.
