Hello all,
I had the pleasure of meeting moparchris today. I wanted for someone with experience to look at my recent purchase and Chris was more than gracious and agreed to meet me at a body shop in Costa Mesa. Thank you Chris! This site is great!!! :grouphug:

Chris is good people, he put up with my clan on his driveway for a weekend. I like the bird

Alex, good to meet you. I had the pleasure of meeting up with Alex and his awesome 69 Runner. I even got to ride in it. Lets just say I think he used a ski mask and a gun to get this deal done cause he stole it. What a nice solid car. It has a pretty stout 440 in it and drives like a low mileage car, no squeeks or rattles. I hope all goes well with the body work and paint on it over at Mascar.

kinda hard to tell anout the car....not enough pics... :red2: :D

imagine that...those last picspopped up just as I was typing this...thanks Chris. looks like a sweet deal! welcome from Ohio if I didn't do that already.

You guys are just blowin smoke up my butt now. Anybody need a moat? :acme:

Thank you guys for all of the nice comments. Chris said that you all were a cool bunch.

The car was an original bench seat car but the last owner said "not sporty enough" so he got some buckets for it. And yes, that’s how I feel screw the pant just drive it but it has some rust issues that I want to take care of immediately.

A little history on the car:
I'm the third owner. This car was purchased new from a dealer about five miles from my house. It spent all of its life here in the "South Bay" of Southern California. I have all of the service records from the dealer that it was purchased from, the original window sticker and build sheet.

The previous owner is a childhood friend and he has owned the car since the early 90’s. I’ve been after this car since he bought it! Every time we got together the first question I asked him even before saying Hi was “Tom when are you going to sell me that runner?” well, it took over 20 years but I finally got it!
This car was raced by the original owner at Lions in Long Beach CA. I have time slips and my friend Tom said that he has pictures. Once I gather all of the paper work I’ll scan it and post it.

yeah, have some :drive: with it before you get shiney paint on it. no worry about scratches!

Rebuilder Bobs moats and remoats, don't like your neighbor specialist. :D

Nice score Alex. The body doesn't look bad at all. I see mostly dirt and not much else. Of course if it's a south western car, it's gonna have minimal rot (not always but usually).
