My 71 Bird!!!

My parents purchased a '71 new special order from the dealer. Their rear wing had a different shape.
Yes, that is a 70 go wing on the car, I have a 71 gull wing that I am going to swap it out with. It is a swept back spoiler!

and it's VERY contagious...before long you'll have a green runner too.

I have a question what are the 1971 birds worth .I am looking at one and it has 383 auto butterscotch color black gut .the car does not show rust but was hit in the ass end years ago but put together nice .

I haven't seen any decent 71's for under $30k that are numbers matching, not too long ago there was a 383 4 speed roadrunner going for about $24K but it did have some rust.
You just have to keep watching because they will pop up for sale sometimes around $20K - $25K.

Yea I have been looking at one also but No 440 in it. It is a rust bucket. It has been sitting out side under an oak tree. Covered some times and some times not. You know the story. Have not asked a price but bet they are proud of it. Good luck. Hope you can get part's for the car. Don't know if they make body parts for them or not. :thumbsup2:

you never know. There was a '66 Satellite near me that all the mopar guys had asked about Not for sale.So me and another guy tried our luck. The guy said "take it if you want it" So we went to U Haul to get a trailer. While we were digging the car out (had '72 plates on it) the guy comes out and says to me " you're welcome to that old truck if you want it ("39 Dodge pickup sitting behind the Plymouth), and there is another one of these cars on the hill you can have too" The '66 had been raced, he had the built 440 in his garage he wouldn't sell, but in the trunk was a steel bell housing, E Body Pistol Grip, and a 4 speed. The tail shaft of the trans was bent at a 45 degree angle. The other car was a '67 Satellite that had been hit HARD in the front in '74, and broke in half when we tried to move it, but I got the back half. I sold a lot of stuff off the cars. I had to let the truck go....I was getting married, and the new wife and inlaws (wife was living next door to her mom and dad) didn't want me bringing 4 parts cars with me.
