shipping my older brothers 69 RR from Ohio to Arizona, where it will live in warm, dry comfort.
First timer here with a classic car, so, any and all advice is greatly appreciated…
She is affectionately called ‘the beast’, for reasons I will post in the future…

I had my runner at the Fountain Hills concours show about a week ago. I haven't been to Phil's in awhile. Welcome aboard

Nice car! I like the color. Looks like a 26" radiator, is that a 440?
Yes. 440, 4bbl 4 spd. My brother bought it from a gal, she (or someone, for her) put in a large(ish) cam, of unknown origin at this point, was in late 90’s I think. According to the vin, it was a 383 at birth, brother put the 440 numbers on the hood. He no longer has the ability to work on it, due to health and age issues. We as teens (I was 16?) had modified a 65 mustang fastback 289 with a 3/4 race cam, solids, lifters, so we have a tiny bit of cam knowledge. But that was a long time ago. I can tell you this cam is a bit more robust.
It has an original rear end, 737 I think, posi. Also traction bars. Original 4sp, A33 I think, with a Hurst shifter, not sure if that was factory.
Brother had a Hayes clutch installed. I think the carb may not be qriginal, double pumper, not sure of model, yet.
Story is, the gal he bought it from bought it from a guy who would race it. There evidence of some sort of tow points under the front, that have been cut off.
The paint is “Prowler Purple”, and its a Mako job, believe it or not.
I have a nice walk-around phone video of it at idle, but I think the file may be too large to download. Any way to fix that?

Interesting history. I wish I knew mine. I'm sure I'm not the only one here who would like to hear it running. Try making a copy of the video, so you don't step on the original, and edit it to shorten the video if it's really long. I'm not sure how large a video you can post here. Maybe an admin can comment on that.

I think you have to publish a video somewhere else, like YouTube, then copy the link and paste it here for a video to work. And that’s coming from a pure technological buffoon!
