Hello all, I’m new here. My dad and uncle have roadrunners as that is what I grew up with. I own a Demon but I joined on here for my dad because I never knew this forum existed til now.
Dad has a 1968 Plymouth Roadrunner original J code 426 Hemi 4 speed Dana car hardtop. 22k original miles. Car was bought in 1980 from a friend and it was restored and set up for drag racing. Ran the original Hemi for many many years up until a few years ago when we put a big engine in. Now it’s equipped with a 572” hemi, KB block, stage V heads, built by Tim Bowman. Car has a 727 in it now for race purposes. Footbrake car. Car has been 5.72 in the 1/8 at 118.83mph. 1.24 60’ time. 3500lbs with driver.
Unlce has a 1971 Plymouth Roadrunner equipped with a 440 6bbl and 727. It also is set up for drag racing. It has Indy SR heads, flat tappet cam, and weighs 3700 lbs with driver. Car has been 10.40s at 129mph.
Two close friends have Roadrunners as well. Pictures are posted below. I love roadrunners as they are my favorite car.
Thanks for the welcome to the site! I look forward to seeing what the roadrunner community is up to!
