i know this is a 69 roadrunner site, but i got a new project that id like to share.

1966 el camino.

This car has been painted decent enough for my needs,

it has cpp tubular arms in the front, and umi rear trailing arms.

most of the frame and underside has been por15'ed.

previous owner says every part, nut and bolt for the car is there, but we will see.

i plan to assemble the car, it will get a 454 with a 4 speed swap, and finish it off with some billet specialties street lite rims.

i call it, project basket case. This is my first project of this caliber.

My little 3.7L i5 colorado towed it very well, i was surprised.

i know this isnt a 69 beep beep, but its something to keep me busy, and maybe sell it in the future to fund one :beep:

Sweet! I love old El Camino's. When I was a teenager, I wanted one so bad for my first car. Ended up with a 1988 Dodge Ram 50.
I could see myself buying an El Camino after my convertible is fully restored and the Harley is paid off. The car would have to be complete though. I will never restore another car again after the fiasco my Roadrunner has been.

Keep us posted with progress summaries and pictures.

Well it is not a Road Runner, however, I do have to appreciate that it is not being restored and not crushed! It should be cheaper to restore than a MOPAR, have fun.

I have a pair of GM buckets that would look great in this El Camino!!

Thank you for the offer, I have 2 bench seats that could go in this. There is something to be said about a bunch seat 4 speed! Possible ask Chris if he could use them in his rare Chevelle
