Bullet level and a two by two. We used to do these by ourselves. Canter and camber use bullet level tow in and out use the two by two. Look up self-alignment on inter web. Do need a flat level surface to preformed this. Last time I did this the shop told me that my front end was not that far off.
Yeah you can do that by yourself better than any shop. Did than on my 70 Charger, 70 Roadrunner and 73 Scamp and they track right. I'm at work now but l'll upload a pdf tonight that I created w/ the specs and the procedure. It'll take you two hours and no special tools are needed. I'll get back

Pics are from my Charger, works on all B bodies. If you have power steering, even better. Then you'll don't even need to adjust caster, just put it to max. It's all in there. Enjoy!
I take my 69 Road Runner with upgraded tubular front suspension, anti sway bars and still has the torsion bars to a shop that specializes in older collector cars. My Allignment has always been right on plus they check all fitting including freezing the fittings
Thanks! I will attempt it myself, just need to get the steering a little tighter at the wheel itself. Going to order that lower split shaft steering column bushing, mine is missing.
Do you still have the stock steering column? I switched to an iDIDit column that tilts and has emergency flashers on the column. I painted it to exactly match the color and texture of the dash… almost looks stock. I also went with a Bergson steering box. It’s smaller in size and has a tight shorter turn radius. Updated my power brake system with a Hydrotech system (stops on a dime)!!
Reading back through this thread again I’m reminded that back in the sixties and early seventies (60 - 71) we didn’t give a second thought to aligning our cars out on the driveway, in the garage or even the street. As I recall there would be two of us working together and the whole thing took less than an hour. I don’t recall ever taking any of my older cars to shop for alignment. Why would we when it was so easy to donit ourselves! I even did the alignment on my original 69 Runner Runner (included a photo of me leaning against my original Road Runner in 1969 when I was all of 24)!!
PS: My initial cool car upon returning home from Vietnam in December 1967 was a 64 GTO, completely loaded, silver with all black interior, 389 with tri-power and a 4-speed Munci, paid $1800 for it!!! Traded it for a big street bike and in October 1968 bought my brand new (straight off the truck) Ivy Green Road Runner, post car, 4-speed Hurst, 383, and decor’ package. It had a white longitudinal strip on the sides, magnum 500 wheels, redline tires, upgraded interior. All those upgrades added a whopping $35 to the price. Out the door with tax and license it was $2974 (those were the days)!!!
