hi,
i have bought a 69 rr of the 2. day of production....100714
the old door panels have the opposite color scheme of the normal scheme.
anybody knows it ?
want to make the car 100% original and look for detailed informations about this early car. a friend told me that there are many special details on that first produced cars.
would be very nice to get some informations here.
thanks
ingo

legendary asked me because they do not know what is correct for the first cars.
they also asked me how to make the back of the front bench. light or dark green. both options are possible. that is what legendary says. now they are waiting with the upholstery production for my car as far as i give them the right infos.
do not know ???
btw: searching for the seat medallions !

thanks

Those door panels look like the ones I had in my 69 Runner F8 interior.

Those door panels are the Custom decor ones.

Makes no difference if your car has bench or bucket seats with that panel.

They only come in the Coachman Grain design.

do you have pics ?

the seat covers are normal style ? i have no seat covers. just the frames.
picture shows common style.

thanks

Yes in Green cars.

My car has bucket seat so it has solid F8 seat covers.

My car is just about finished with a complete reto and I have had it for 38 years.

I think the panels in question are 68 versions.

So....They could be left overs from 1968 or they could have been swapped out over the years.

that was my first thought.
but the inserts in 68 are not from end to end i think.
i will ask legendary to make the panels like the originals and the bench covers like the common style with dark green seat backs.
do not know what is really correct.

thanks again

My car has bucket seat so it has a different pattern just the light green is in the inserts top/bottum and solid F8 in back.

Ingo, according to Jim Schild's book "Original Dodge & Plymouth B-Body Muscle 1966-70", the picture you provided shows a '68 door panel. Like Big said, it may have been a left over part from the '68 model year that simply made it onto your car due to its early build. Just curious, what was the scheduled production date (SPD) of your car?

Those look like '68 door panels to me.

My car had the same panels on it and it was an Oct.9,1968 build date and when I bought the new panels I went to the correctc ones.

Mine was a St.Louis built car.

Thanks Harold hope to have it on the road come summer if ol body holds up.

hi again,
many thanks for the informations but i think the 68 panels are different, because the middle insert is not end to end.
i will ask legendary to make it like it was in my car. but one quetion is still there. the back of the front bench was light or dark green ?

bill,
your seat scheme was the common later style and all the rest was same late style ? (dashpad, pillars, seat medallions, steering column. etc )
would be very nice to know. i just want to bring the car to the factory delivery condition.

thanks again
