Originally, with all it's 49yrs of bumps and bruises

I here some sheet metal is not available for these year yet. But would do some work on those rockers so they wont rust on out.

What you see is just surface, they are rock soild.
But the car being a dark color, I already hit them a rust neutralizer. Doesn't hardly show.
 
That was a good Idea John. Preventive maintenance is a good thing. Just know that the rockers do catch hell. It is bad they are not reproducing metal for these cars like quarters and other parts. After all they don't make the runner's any more. Keep that one on the road and it is keeping the runner name out their. :thumbsup2:

Oh I do know how bad rockers can get, I'm originally from Michigan. The winter salt tears the cars up, but I'm in central Texas now. I've been amazed how well cars keep here.
 
We have salt water here near the cost. In land their is all kind's of acid on the road's from the phosphate mine's where I live. Not to mention other thing's that get splashed up on those rocker's. I guess we are lucky not to have salt put on the road's for ice and snow melting here in Fla. Not much call for that. Well Keep that runner up and running look's good. Russ.
