I had a slight gear clash in 1-2 when cold. Went to the factory recommended SAE 140. Had gear clash in all 4 gears. Tried Sta-Lube 85/90 GL4 from Napa and it was better, but still had the cold clash from 1-2. Was advised by a local Mopar guy to try Penzoil Synchromesh before replacing the synchros. It all but eliminated the problem. I'm sold on it.
Thanks for the reply's, I just read some where the it might be to light duty for and older 4-speed. My 69RR is a driver and will never see the 1/4 mile or hard uses

I’ve had good luck with Lucas 90 wt gear lube in every manual I’ve ever run until I had a Tremec that reqired ATF, and my Passon 5 gear that gets 75w140 synthetic. Not cheap!! Worth it though.
I have a '70 RR w/ a 4 speed 833. Some of the local old Mopar guys swear by GM Vehicle Care Synchromesh, that is currently available at Chevy dealerships. At $15.00/Litre, it is quite pricey. Have others heard of this recommendation?
