Looking for a nice pie tin (383 road runner engine) for the air cleaner of a 70 383 Road Runner. I could buy a new reproduction one but, prices are outrageous! Even used ones. I will not pay $300 bucks for a piece of tin when I bought the complete housing for that! I'm sure someone here has a decent one for sale at a reasonable price.
Let me know what you have & what you're asking for it. I have some original pieces from this car I'm willing to trade also, just ask. TIA

Yeah, they are crazy money. I have seen some asking $750.00 for this cheap piece of tin with a decal on it....

I did find new reproduction ones from Mancini's for under $70 but, they are out of stock right now. I'll wait 'till they're back in stock. The car doesn't need it to run.
I guess if you want an original one in VGC, you'll have to pay through the nose for it.

You’ll be waiting a long time. Lots of vendors show ‘coming soon’. Truth is the manufacturer of them has no plans to make any more at this time.
Telling you this so you don’t pass on a good for $100-300 or more bucks if it pops up in hopes that your $50-70 re-pop one is going to be just around the corner from your favourite vendor when it’s not.
Somethings on Mopars aren’t cheap, and if you want it you just have to pay up.

I totally understand. I personally am not footing the bill for this, just trying to get a fair price on a nice one for a friend's car. It's no resto, but it is a real nice car.

I've got this one off my 70...not sure IF OEM or repop....it was on the car when I bought it AND before I restored and put the Air Grabber hood on it!
Not sure what it is worth.... guessing between $70 and your reported $300...

I don't always check this site...you are welcome to email bksharpening@gmail.com

It looks very much what I'm looking for. I've seen new one's (Re-pop's) on Mancini's web site for $70 +shipping but they're "NOT IN STOCK" & like Roadtrp said, I may be waiting for quite some time for them to be back in stock. Yours looks like it may be an original piece but most everyone want's way more than I'm willing to pay, even if it's not money coming out of my pocket. Let me know how much you want for it, if you're willing to sell it, & send a picture of the top of it when you get a minute. Thanks

I'm NOT an experienced "seller" but my Wife is.
Take a look at the pics. I CAN'T GUARANTEE that it is OEM BUT can guarantee that it came on my 70 RR when I bought it 15 yrs ago!
$260 and I'll pay shipping to wherever you tell me to in the USA.
Can you Zelle or Venmo?? Once I get confirmation of payment ( however you choose) She will ship it to you in a well packaged/ protected package.

It looks like it will be plenty good enough. the car it's going on is not a resto. Will you except $225 & a certified check? I can wait to you get the check to make sure it's good, as I don't use Zelle, Venmo or PayPal. Thanks for the time & trouble sending pictures by the way.

Thanks. I'll e-mail my info & I'll need to get the OK from the owner of the car first but, he'll probably say get it. If you direct message me here, no one will see it either.
Just curious, the friend who bought my Road Runner wants to put an Air Grabber set-up on this car too. I told him with all the parts & pieces to make it an Air Grabber car, he's looking at 4-6 grand, not including labor! Is my guess close to what it cost you?

Email is best for me.... thanks!
I have over $6k in mine ( maybe including prepping the hood for paint - can't remember back that far )
I'll look for your email....

My buddy Greg who just passed away (RIP) just over a week ago had a nice yellow 70 road Runner similar to your's, along with a 69 Mustang and a 69 Corvette. I am not sure what the Family is going to do with his cars now.
