Yes it was 106 degrees in Lake Havasu but I had some cold beer and some time to kill so here is what I go accomplished on day one.

Step 1 - Put the car on stands. Drink a beer to cool off.

Step 2 - Remove front grille or at least what is left of it. Drink a beer to cool off.

Sounds like a cool build! In the off chance, is there still a piece of Chrome trim left on the hood that I can not witness in your pictures? I would be extremely happy to supply some beer for your project. (and even some money, but the beer seemed to be the big motivator) PM me if you would be interested. I am looking forward witnessing other peoples progress cause I can't seem to make any of my own. :)

I had to sell my convertible 69 runner and my orange 69 charger to pay divorce related bills in the last 12 months.

After owning and driving those two cars; I want to build a car better than either of those but just for me.

I think any version of a white Superbird will be a blast to drive around in.

I will probably leave it a post car too. They never made those but who cares?

This one is a blank slate of a car that i can build the way I want just for me.

For the back story read this:

Hey uncle Chris: Tell us another old car story.

Once upon a time there was an oil baron who lived in California that was addicted to buying old muscle cars......
