I'm going to have to install a left quarter on my '68. I see the prices between AMD and OER are a good bit apart. What is the difference in these 2 quarters? I will need a full quater and I know there is such a thing as a short quarter that just doesn't replace as much metal. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
DC

I installed both AMD full quarters but I not familiar with the OER ones, the AMD ones did need some work to fit correctly but I have never found an aftermarket panel that fit perfect.. I would not do a quarter skin (what you called a short quarter) as there is a big seam to weld and finish, the full factory one is a much cleaner installation. I have a thread on mine that shows the quarter install.

Cool, I'll check it out. I originally planned to take it to the AMD installation center when I got ready but that dude has passed away and I don't know if anyone else has picked it up.

I would use AMD. I put quarter skins on my road runner

I'm going to have to install the full quater, my car looks as though it was parked for years under something that left the left rear corner exposed to the weather as the top of the quater has bad surface rust. Someone had covered it in mud and I knew when I bought the car a quarter, door jamb and drop down would have to go on that side. The other side is good to the bottom where it needs maybe the lower body line down and the drop down. Nice work.

I've always used AMD. They are a little more money but all their parts are really close. I've installed other brand sheet metal for friends and on most of them I've had to do a lot more messaging to get them right.
