Has anyone put one together with all repro parts?
I;m adding to my 69 rr and running to a few bumps with a few pieces.

While the reproduction center consoles look nice, the quality is not near what was done in 1969. Hard to believe with today's technology a better reproduction part cannot be made.
I installed a complete reproduction (console and top plates) in my Super Bee a few years back. The problem was the console openings were shorter than an original, and the cover plates were longer than original. You can see how these errors multiply when your try and assemble it.
To solve the problem, nearly every hole on the cover plates and door hinge were enlarged to accommodate the plethora of errors. After there was no more room to elongate these holes, I ended up taking about an 1/8" off the back of the door to make things fit. A belt sander is the best tool to do this.
The only advice I can offer is patience. It took me a weekend to get things to look right. Another tip, make sure you have the console mounted level in the car before you start messing with the cover plates. If you don't, you will be starting over when you screw it down.
I thought I would be saving a buck by using the reproduction parts. I was wrong. In the future I will have original cover plates rechromed and search out an original console body.
