I know this has been probably asked more than once, but I'm going to be running 275/60/15's on the rear. I'm running 255's on 15 x 8" rims now with 3-1/2 backspacing, but not sure if they'll be wide enough for a 275. Be safe and go with a 10" rim? If so, will 4-1/2" backspacing be ok? I know that might push it close to clearing the edge of the lip. I've got about 1-1/2" of clearance from the wheel lip with my current wheels. Will be running 245's up front, so no worries there.
Years ago, this used to be easy... Either deep dish or not.. lol Been out of it for about 20 years.. more choices now.. so this old man needs a refresher course.. lol

With original quarter panels 275/60-15's on 15x8.5 is not a problem, close but not a problem.

I have 255/60-15's on 15x8.5's on my 69 GTX with original quarters and about an inch of space on each side. 19mm being 3/4" (1mm less than the 20mm you're adding to the 275's) you can see it's close but will fit with the back spacing. go for it!

I have BFG 275/60x15's on Weld Prostar's with 4 1/2 back space with no problem. It almost looks like 295's would fit but the 275's fit comfortably. I have 235/70's on front. You may want to stick with 8" wide rims with the 4.5" backspace. I had 10" rims with slicks on my old A12 and I think it will rub on the outer lip.

Maybe some guys with 10" rims can chime in but I think your tires will rub on the outside unless you roll the lip up or get some air shocks and jack up the rear a couple of inches?

Thanks for your input. :) I guess the main question is will an 8" rim be wide enough for a 275 tire? If it is, then I dont have to do anything, but I have a feeling it may be a tight fit. I'm running Weld Racing Draglites.

Thank you. That's all I needed to know. I know you can stuff some serious rubber under these B bodies without any modding. 295's will fit... barely... but just need the right backspacing.

3.5" backspace won't be enough with those tires. I am running 15x8 with 275's on the rear with 4.5" backspace and it JUST fits. Gonna be very close with only 3.5" backspace me thinks...

I can't remember the backspacing on mine. 15X8 rims with 27560s.when I got my car it only had four leaves on each spring, and sat low like a Challenger. We added another main leaf, with two partials for a total of 7 on each side. I did add air shocks when I got the deep wheels for a little security, and no tire rub at all.

Looks good. Those cragers look like they've got a lot of offset. My guess would be 2-1/2" backspace. Mine have 3-1/2", and I know that they arent out that far. I've got about 1-1/2" clearance between the tire and the lip with the 255's on there right now.

before the Cragars I had Magnums, 15X8, IIRC 3 1/2 BS and they fit fine.
