Decided to put together my 70' R.R. as a Rat Muscle project. Haven't decided if I am going to call it the Rum Runner or the Roached Runner yet. Engine and trans will be going in soon.20210313_184128.jpg

Tape it off. Sand it prime it then paint it. It will look more like the rum runner. Most of the body look's straight from the side I see. Well fix it up and drive it.

Nope, driving it as is. Already had stupid offers from some of the locals that want it once running, but I am not in it for the money.

Engine looks way better than the car. Mild 383 with 484 purple shaft. 2800 converter, 4:88 gears with a spool, 175 shot of NOS, widen steelies with 275 drag radials. Should be a nice sleeper.

It’s charming, I love it. I’d like to see it scaring the good folks down at Woodward this year!

This post jumped a whole lotta levels after the 4.88 gears and spool part hahaha

I raced up and down Woodward in the 1960's and ended at Ted's in Pontiac for a 5 by 5. Uncle Sam ended that in 1965. I learned how to power shift and how to time the lights just right which helped when I got back into racing in the 70's. Absolutely no more street racing though. I had 15 points when I went into the Navy in 1965. At 12 points you lost your license.
