School me on alternators

My 69 has the old style alternator, I upgraded my wiring harness to an electronic ignition and upgraded alternator ( https://www.yearone.com/Product/1966-74 ... dy/hu199bm ) what would be a good 75ish amp alternator that would work with this harness?

That's not an upgrade. You've switched from regulating the positive side of the alternator field to regulating the negative side.

I would use the old alternator with a new electronic regulator made for the 69 and earlier car... But that's me.

No offense taken John. How do you tell what alternator you have? is there a tech article somewhere on this?
