I took my '65 Barracuda for a nice 180 mile ride today and had a chance to check the odometer to the marked highway mileage markers. I knew it was not reading correctly but found that at a 10 mile distance the odometer reads 1.1 miles short! So of course the speedo is off. Can I correct just my changing the cable gear in the tranny, and if so would I need a gear with less teeth then what's in there? As of now I don't know what that size is. I'm running 6:95 x 14" tires and it's supposed to be a 2.76:1 rear. thanks guys

Page 21-96 in the 69 manual. There's a tire size/gear ratio chart. It'll be the same for your Barracuda.

Looks like a 29 tooth is the right one. Should be some on Ebay.
