Steering Coupler

Anybody ever go through one. I dont see anything in my service manual.

IIRC, It seemed pretty straight forward.

yeah,pretty simple(must be if I can do it). Just a pair of shoes and a retainer clip.

I did it on my 68 with no directions. I've slept since then though......

Any wear parts inside and would a dealer have parts?

Here's the pieces you need. Some of these kits have the orange seal which I don't believe is correct.

I don't know if you guys scrolled to the bottom to read the additional posts, but it's funny (sad - really) that how no matter what you're reading automotive-related there is always some comment posted about having to deal with parts store flunkies that don't know a corvair radiator from a bucket of prop wash... Pisses me right the hell off too... :brickwall:

Great article.........I have the same issues at the parts stores. If the computer can't tell them anything, I might as well be asking my wife........ I love her but she is no car person............
