Throtle Cable mis-match, need advice

First thing I’d do is change the bracket for the throttle to one that connects to the carb and all should line up
 
I'm running the same carb, but with a Performer "RPM" manifold (if that makes any difference). If no one comes up with a solution I cam post a picture if that would help.
