where exactly did Chrysler stamp info on their transmissions? Was hoping to look later to see what I have.

4 speed has a machined flat on the passenger side that will have a VIN or partial VIN stamped in it Then there are the raised cast part #s on the tail, main gear box and side cover roadrunner restoration 394.jpg

Yes I checked mine out and it was an A-833. It had the PP in front of the 833 also. But it is not original to my car got it form Co. Some one had put a 727 in the car when it had the four speed manual in it. So had to put it back the way it was. :beep:

My car currently has a hurst vertigate shifter. Is there a market for those? Was interested in putting back in the original style hurst shifter.

classic has the floor shifter. I think you can still contact Hurst. Have not Googled it but try that and see what you come up with or try summit racing. Russ.
