Valley Pan Re use!!

I will be putting my 440 back in soon, and was wondering if there any tips out there to install will 6BBL still on motor. Next if I take 6BBL off just leaving the valley pan in place can I reuse it, and just replace top and bottom gasket

Valley pan is actually the gasket for intake , has a bead that is crushed for fit. Will need a new one if remove whole manifold. They are fairly cheap. If just remove carbs, cover all holes with tape as preventive measure. Don't want to drop anything down holes into engine.
