Volt gauge

I would like to install a separate volt gauge,in my 69 rr.How do I bypass existing ammeter gauge

If removing amp meter connect the 2-10ga. wires together, can also connect volt meter positive; negative goes to ground. Amp meter wiring must be complete for charge circuit, it’s in series. Volt meter can actually be placed anywheres with alternator voltage present.

Don’t of coarse connect to battery so it stays active all the time, just when charging.

Needs to connect to any 12 volt switched source that works with the key on
