Any one know what color of print the regulators were stamped in, red or yellow?

Mine's yellow - late '68 build.
That's what I was thinking and everything Yearone has is red. Any ideas who stamps them? I tried ECS and they only do the later white ones.

Dave Patik at Performance Car Graphics re-lettered mine. Turned out beautiful!

Are all early builds yellow print? Were they all installed upside down? Just curious. Thanks

Here are a few 69 model year survivor pics I've collected... all yellow... If you can make out the dates, the first two numbers are the week, and last number is the last digit of the year...

I get all my decals from them as well... top notch outfit...

That's one company that you hear nothing but good things about... Perhaps the guys over at Keisler, INDY, and Layson's ought to send send some of their people down there for a few weeks of intensive, remedial customer service training... :lmao:

That's who I got all my decals through, Dave is a good guy. They were producing the wrong air cleaner care decal and also the air grabber decal and with photo proof I sent him, he made a different run of decals and sent them to me to inspect before producing them. I called him yesterday and he said to get a good correct style regulator cover, blast it, etch prime sand and finish prime and he paints them in and out and stamps and clear coats for $35

Yes Dave is one of those special guys that really wants to get it right, as opposed to getting rich... I actually sent my original regulator cover to him after following his blast & paint instructions... even after using his recommended paint process, he still was not quite happy with the sheen of the black...He re-stripped it, re-painted it, and then lettered it... all for the price of the lettering job...Talk about customer service!

I know dave personally , great aero car guy and very accurate on his research

Here's a '68 survivor Super Bee... I believe it had something like 11k miles on it... the SPD was June 26th... I don't have a close-up of the regulator, but you can see that the lettering is yellow...

Based on the survivor pics I've dug up so far, it appears that from the above SPD to at least April of '69, that yellow may have been the prevalent font color.
