what is the best glue to use to put the under dash insulation on

Yes just got the old type insulation for this runner. Any one have suggestion's on the best glue to use. Some one told me the old contact cement worked well. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Russ.

I’ve used 3M spray adhesive before, spraying the insulation itself and where I was applying it. Let both surfaces tac up and then press into place.

I was torn between using the old style insulation or getting more X Matt to put their. But decided to go with what was original. figured it lasted 50 years so why not. Thanks Guy's. Russ.
