Finally got the 1969 RR home from paint and began to put the new trunk emblem on (it was missing when I bought the car). holes not the same...major oversight....satellite trunk lid   :brickwall: :brickwall:

Will the emblem cover the holes?

If the answer to Bob's question is "yes" then I'd consider using an adhesive-backed emblem instead.

Your other option is back to the body shop...

If I remember correctly your either going to have a Satellbird or it going back to paint.

Don't feel bad, I filled my Sattelite holes and re-drilled according to factory specs and the holes did not line up with the pins on the aftermarket emblems...

I think I may have the same problem on my car. I have 3 holes on my deck lid.
What are the specs for the "Road Runner" or the deck lid?

Dang.....I'll keep that in mind. I did a search on this site and found the specs for the proper holes RR. I'm just sick about the whole thing. I'm also looking for the specs of the RR decal placement. I saw I here some time ago but couldnt find it agin.

Just slap them on there and post some pics. Then you'll find out really quickly exactly where they go... :basketcase:

That pic is of the driver's side door - not the trunk.

Since he just got the car back from paint jail I assumed that he was putting all of the decals on...trunk seems fairly obvious...but I could be wrong...
