Hello All!
These tires/wheels came with the purchase of the Roadrunner. The car had been sitting since the mid 90’s with slicks on and that what I still have on. Well, last week I was stopped by the police and given a warning. Needless to say, I need to change the slicks out. These tires are 295 65 15s. Previous owner said they rub slightly only when turning into a driveway. I don’t want to spend the money right now on tires and wheels because I’m thinking of going with red lines and body color wheels since that’s how this car came from factory. My plan is to run these in the back and the 255 60 15’s that also came with the car. Although not ideal, does anybody see any issues with doing this?

as long as "rubs a little" doesn't lead to body damage or cuttlng tlres. 295 ls a lot of rubber.

I haven't had any experience with the taller 295s but I have run 295/50 15s on my 68 successfully. I had Weld Wheels 15x10 5.5 backspace. What are the dimensions of the magnums? Or I know they will fit with the cop car wheel and the 295/60. By the way, what a riot that car is on slicks!!

I would just bolt those Magnums on. A 15x8 with 4.5 BS is perfect and it will collapse the sideways of the tire a little making it fit better.

Cool, thanks. it wont cost me anything to try and if they rub alot I'll buy two 255s and put 255s all around to get me by.
