wich hose does the heater valve connect to ?

hi , anyone have pics of the heater valve on a 1971 ac car , need to know wich hose it's suppose to be mounted on .
btw , i got a aftermarket vacuum valve . so it only close the water circulation . was told the oem was a bad coise ??
