1969 Roadrunner: My first project

Come on Harold show us new guys . Can't be worst then this one !

Mine didn't look all that bad in pictures, but you should have smelled that thing. I had a dead rat in the drivers rear door panel that I swear was the size of a house cat. (On second thought maybe it was a house cat!) My entire interior was a loss simply because of the smell, couldn't get it out no matter what I did. Don't know if you guys saw the episode of Mythbusters where they put a dead pig in a Corvette then tried to sell it? but I compare it to that!

I had some king salmon in plastic bags in the back of my Z28 for a 7 hour drive home from a fishing trip . Some of the blood must have leaked out on to the carpet . Could never get that smell out , had to sell the car .

I think Bob has a cat story to share....

The car looks great. Make it safe and drive drive drive as you restore.

I see your thread got off track :lmao::lmao: If keep the original color she will be sharp, good luck with it,take plenty of pictures along the way.

LMAO ! what's this guy going to think when he comes back and sees what we've done to his thread . That's if he comes back . I noticed some fellows introduce themselves with one or two posts and are never heard or seen from again . It leaves you wondering if there roadrunners are ever completed , sad .
But on the other hand you see someone like RoofMan putting his bird decals on and you can only imagine how proud he is , that's what gives me inspiration and keeps me going to the very end . God Bless America ! :flag: sorry , I get carried away sometimes .

well that's how we do things here. someone can ask how to adjust their clutch, and 7 pages later we;ve talked about everything from brest implants to home improvement to favorite beer, but in the midst of it all we get the question answered!

HAHA! I love the thread. I am still here and don't plan on going anywhere. Life is crazy and I don't get a lot of free time. I saw more pictures were requested, so here are some below.

The car fired up and I'm almost 100% sure something was living in the engine bay.

Welcome back , that will all clean up . Looking good !

I feel for you brother . My wife and I ran our own business for over 25 years and finely said screw this and took an early retirement . Its so nice to get up whenever you want , have a leisurely coffee , stroll down to the man cave and tinker on the old girl , the RR that is . :wake:

Keep it anyway. Tape it if you have to and put it in a binder or scrapbook. You have no idea how hard they are to come by.
