Can someone tell me why their is a spring around the brake drum I can't remember ever seeing that and what is it for. Russ.:huh:

I believe it is a harmonic resonance dampener (anti-squeak).

Ok just wondered what the heck it was on their for. Appreciate the reach out with this vital info. If something ring's would not here it any way because my ear's ring all the time any way.
