Just spent the morning pulling the cluster out again, and all the goes with it, and replaced the new voltage limiter with the 50 year old one I saved. With the gauges "fading in and out in unison" I figured it had to be that. Well.... my old Bird loves the "oldies" Everything works great. Would...

I am converting to a serpentine belt system on my 70 roadrunner 383 with PS, AC. Along with the CVF Racing kit is a 1 wire alternator with internal regulator. How do I hook up the wire when I have a two wire system alternator now? Does the regulator on the firewall go away?
Thanks
also have an issue with erratic speedo. Pulled dash cluster, replace speedo cable, removed and checked 32 teeth gear and all looks ok. Still bounces all over. Connected new cable to drill and speedo to check and all worked fine on the bench test.
Any ideas? Thanks
1970 383 A727 and my speedo is eratic at all speeds. Pulled the dash cluster, replaced the speedo cable, removed the cable gear from trans and no sign of damage to 32 teeth gear.
Any ideas? Thanks
