For a big block trans a 70 to 77[aprox yrs] has some better attributes like better splines or room in the clutch pack for a 5 disc.How much power will you make?Look at an aftermarket parts like from CRT and you can see some upgrades for ideas.

stock port edl Victor head 446",8-71 2x1250 carb.I do leave just off idle with 3.73 and 29.5x10.5 tire will be good for 150mph at 7,000.Yes I finished in 2nd gear at 111 I think.I have stock trans ratios.

I don't think you can put too good of brakes on a car and I am glad you are upgrading.I have the WW Pro street vented rotors on mine front,back with no problems.

I have the new Cal tracks on with new QA1 shocks and the car went straight and I finally got the carbs tuned good enough for now.The low band was real loose and my shifter was not set correctly but I did make 2 runs while burning the trans fluid so here it is.Sorry I have been away...

Turn down the fuel psi to be sure it is not getting past the needle,seat double check you are in the idle system.[you can stall the engine by turning the idle screws in all the way.]

I am sure you will have some things to go over like the valve lash the idle mix,spark plugs...Congrats on the drive!!!!!

The keyway will be pointing at #1 cylinder with the TDC at the timing mark.

Yes I did and I gave what info I had to Scott Koffel and he is going to figure out who he wants to get the shirts from.

I have been getting better with the photoshop while I wait for Koffels to make up there mind on how many shirts for the crew and others.They have been wanting to do a shirt for a few yrs and when I did a pic they decided to make it happen.This should go down soon so I will let you know.

I think the tech guy only want a part # for the shield at a national event and would other wise just look for it to be there.

I can relate to the video load time of 1 that size!I would start the load at bed time and it would be done in the morning Most of the time.

Great engine build,A lot of TQ starting in the low rpm.Congrats!!!I sealed the rear seal with RTV on the sides after it was installed and it holds up well.
