Do not know. I had a guy rebuild the motor and it never had any power and I only put about 20 miles on it.

I have a 69 383 4 speed Road Runner My oil was black and the motor was running ruff. I took the driver side valve cover off and found on # 7 cyl both push rods were off the rockers. One was bent enough to see and the other was also bent . Do you think I need to change the rockers along with the...

I do not think it can. It was probably from the carb. Do you believe my bearings will need replaced ? I did have some metal showing in the oil

what should be the numbers on the compression check? I will also check the PCV valve

I do not recall that. I was so dumbfounded about the black oil .

Hello , I need some more help .My motor has black oil and smells like gas!!!! I do have shavings in the oil. Don't know how gas could get into the oil. I will need to replace all my bearings, a total rebuild ? Its a 383 engine 4 speed.I have no knocking noises just a lifter ticking. Any help...

Hello, I have a 1969 Road Runner and I spun a crank bearing .I think. My oil is black and I do have shavings in the oil. Any way I'm looking for the best way to take out my engine and transmission at the same time. Any help would be aprecited. Thanks :eek:

looking for the shims that go into the top holder of the shifter,it is the arm that goes into the car. Looks like it holds about 5 shims? it keeps the shifter arm from being so loose. Thanks Jeff :brickwall:

Can any one tell me what heater hose goes where? I have a 383 motor with no ac. Now my heater hose is connected like this. The one in front is going to the firewall to the right closeto the motor. the one in right in back of the water pump is going to the left side. Is this right ? Thanks...

I took the thermostat out and the water flows very good, and no over heating.This will be the 3rd thermostat I have put in in this car. I will get the bigger thermostat this so I have no more problems. I just want to say THANK YOU ALL for the help. :grouphug: Jeff
