Thanks guys, that's why I ask. Had I not seen one in a car yesterday I would not have thought to ask about it. I've seen one of those stock radios converted with the module, it sounded pretty good but you do have to remember all the controls in order to use it, since it is in your original radio...
That's the car. Super slick and in a color you don't see much. LOL, I didn't get any pics of the car but I did get one of the over flow bottle. In the back by the fence there was a '69 Bee that had an after market stereo that looked like stock with the roller knobs. I think this one was a...
I was at the Music City MOPAR show today and saw a beautiful '70 383 RR that is a Tan metalic I guess, it has 17" Rally Wheels and was from Athens, Al. Does anyone know who this is? He has a real nice setup on a radiator catch bottle that sits between the battery and the core support. This may...
Looking for a quarter that is cut like used to be done back in the day, cut at the C post and across the floor under the door and toward the back through the floor and trunk. LOL, I live 15 miles from Ted's and the guy that answered the phone told me they no longer cut cars and the left bodies...
I was planning to use the MOPAR shim gasket, .020. Manchini has a shim kit for the rocker shafts so I wasn't too worried about that. I just wanted to make sure enough could come off the intake side of the head so my intake doesn't have to cut.
How much can I mill off my 906 heads both on the deck face and the intake face and the intake still fit without having to mill it? I plan to go with a set of small chamber Stealths as money allows but in the mean time I would like to close these up a bit. McCandless told me I can cut .070 off...
LOL, BFH, I thought they only used that in the Boilermakers. Of course Carpenters use hammers, Boilermakers use Beaters. Go to the tool room and ask for a 4lbs BFB.
Been studying a build for my 383 and so far it looks like I landed on the following:
Pistons - Ross Flat Tops, measure everything before ordering and request a pin height for zero deck. I emailed with Ed there last week and they are on about a 6 week turn around
Heads - 440 Source Stealth. No...
There is no Plymouth Magnum, that is the Dodge name for the high performance engine. Plymouth called them Super Commando. To the bes tof my knowledge all RoadRunner 383 engines were 335 horse power. cosgig is right about the heads, in '68 they went to open chamber heads from a closed chamber...
This happened to me once on a 383. Since the pump is so easy to install I put on a new one and got pressure. Took the old pump apart and the spring had broken into 2 pieces. Just old age I guess.
Thanks guys, that helps. I'm thinking single stage on the jambs and such and maybe 2 stage on the body when I get to that point. I think the closed supply store to me has PPG.
I'll also check out the TPCGlobal for the dash paint. that would be easier than trying to flatten out a gloss paint to...
Big Block what paint did you use on the interior? Brand and line? I just started a thread asking this as I need to do my door jambs where some past owner had changed the color of my car.
Also as a side note, I must be the young one here, I'm just 61, LOL.

What paint is everyone having best luck with? Someone at some time before I got it had painted my QQ1 car white and I plan to put it back. I have to remove the fenders in order to get the door jambs back due to over spray so I am looking to go ahead and get a customer number setup at a paint...
