thanks for the info...am recommendations on companies, etc. to call? i want to do it once, so any advice on companies that you would recommend would be appreciated
hey cj...i was going to just do a tune up, but i got to thinking it would be nice to take it to 69 specs (440) instead of the 1973 specs, which i believe it to be (280 hP or something like that)...so it sounds like the 440 it shall be! it seems to be the general consensus!
hey 69hemibeep, i was told to redo the 383 would probably set me back between $4k and $4500 (a rough estimate without the machine shop seeing any parts of it)...the 440 is running good now, but i am 99% sure after talking to the previous owner that it has had no major changes on it, although it...
hey big john, thanks for the info...I was told by the guy I bought it from it was an Interceptor and my research turned up the same info as you stated, Ford called theirs the interceptor, not MOPAR. The question is did the Jensen 440 have a special indicator on it? I was reading that the 1973...
my car was originally a 383 (all numbers matching and date code correct other than the motor)...i was originally planning on doing an "original factory ca" because I was originally told ALL NUMBERS were matching, which i know is not true! i do not plan on drag racing, etc...simply enjoying the...
are most of the changes that need to be made on the upper end (heads) or the lower end? can i get a decent amount of the lost horsepower back by simply changing out the intake manifold with an aluminum one and say edlebrock rpm heads?
I am sure many of you have answered this question 1000 times, sorry here is another. I bought a 69 roadrunner with a 440 (1973 Interceptor motor), but also came with a "supposed" numbers matching 383 (which it is from 1969, but not numbers matching). I am new to the restoration (and really car...
I am currently looking for a set of 1969 RR Bucket Seats. I can't say I have a ton of money to spend on them right now, so I am willing to hear what is out there. I currently am also looking into 2 or 3 other sets that I have found, but before pulling the trigger on those (or waiting for more...
hey a12, thanks for the attempt...yeah, mine should be a 3 speed...i have now (with collins) searched ebay, a ton of other sites, etc. and come up with the fact that for sure wiper motor #2983033 can be found with a date code of 2958, while #2983116 can be found with the earliest date code 3238...
thanks collin...things have been a little hectic on my end...i appreciate the info...i have been trying to get a good idea of which number was used when, so this comes in handy!
i just recently believe i pulled one off a a 69 roadrunner...i am relatively new to roadrunners and restoration, but mine had the chrome. i pulled a black one out at a yard in nice shape...if interested, let me know. (i believe its the longer one-rear)
I am working on a 69 Roadrunner (with a 440)...the vacuum advance is shot and needs to be replaced and the only information I have is from the inside C15 and 6.5 (maybe 0.5) on the arm. Anyone have any idea where I can find a vacuum advance that will fit. Also, I am new to MOPAR and hove no...
Thanks basketcase, I had not been on the 521 site or heard of it. I see so many roadrunners done when searching websites, etc., but a little unsure of what is "factory" correct. So many of them have different parts, things set up differently due to the fact that everyone has a different idea of...
Carlisle Questions and Pics
I was wondering if anyone on here will be at Carlisle (PA) Spring Swap meet in about 2 weeks with their prized RR? Having just bought my first MOPAR (69 RR), I have a ton of questions and would love to chat with someone for a few minutes in real time and find out...
