Is it possible to know how many 1971 Plymouth Roadrunners were made in 1971 with the in-violet color, white vinyl top, white interior, 4 speed, with Air Grabber hood? Or maybe get an estimate number? I have one and it came that way originally. I guess that could be the problem is trying to...
Hey Guys, I have a 1971 RR, with a 383 engine 4 speed. I need to buy a new oil dip stick for it. Just wanted to know if I also need to know the year of the engine? Or just the 383 size? Also, would you know where the year would be stamped? I was told years ago that it was a 1965... but I have...
That sounds much more reasonable. I don't understand folks who just post insane prices. I guess they could get lucky or they don't actually want to part with their cars!
My 1971 In-Violet, white top, 383 with Air Grabber Hood, 4 speed Hurst pistol grip with white interior bucket seats and Gull-Wing.
Hey Guys, just wanted to get your opinion to see what you guys think...
I'm a proud and humble owner of a non-project 1971 Plymouth Roadrunner (I added photo of...
That's a good point to check. I posted hoping someone has had the same exact issue and could pinpoint it. If not, I'll be starting with pulling the shift boot and checking adapter plate. A buddy of mine mentioned the center console may have been placed in the wrong place to start. The car has...
I have a 1971 Plymouth Roadrunner with Hurst Pistol Grip with center console. I've had it for about 1.5 years. Does anyone know why the metal handle hits the chrome trim of the center console when the shifter goes into 2nd and 4th gear? It's been happening since I've had the car and it's...
Brah... I would seriously trade my horrible shitty brand new patrol Ford Explorer cop car for that black and white Plymouth. That front grill is iconic! I would absolutely hit the field in that car! Haha.... by the way, you truly have a fantastic unique looking RR. If it was my car, I would...
Hey everyone,
I hope you all are doing well. I'm looking to paint my current Air Grabber hood on my '71 Roadrunner. Photos provided below. Does anyone know the Plymouth name for that matte black color? Or is it just any matte black color?
Also, I have seen some RR's that have the matte...
Hey V.R.D., yeah I had someone point me in the right direction with the 1971 service manuals volume 1 and volume 2. I found them on Amazon. Thanks brother!
Hey Everyone!
I have a '71 Roadrunner. I recently got a plain "Plymouth" steering wheel (photo below) that has a way nicer grip than my current steering wheel which has grip tape around it. I would like to swap out the wheels so I don't have to use the grip tape anymore.
However, my current...
Turns out the metal from the handle is peened over the bezel to secure it. I'm not picking that fight haha. Just gonna swap out the handles and leave the old bezel and lens on. It's a little cracked, but I'm gonna live with it.
Hello Everyone!
I am in the process of replacing my old worn out 4-speed Hurst Pistol Grip on my '71 Roadrunner. As you can see from the pictures, the lens on the old one has a cracked bezel... the older grip was pretty faded too.
I was able to replace the grip as you can see, but I can't...
BRO! That green is freaking amazing dude! And the strobe decal just gives it a perfect look! That's a fantastic looking '71. I love my RR, but I do sometimes wish it wasn't a vinyl top. I dig it, but if I could have it all in-violet with the strobe decal, I would like that better. So nice...
Hey everyone,
I finally got a pair of front chin spoilers for my 1971 Roadrunner. As you may know, the instructions for these spoilers are basically non-existing. Luckily, the vendor who sold me the spoilers sent me an interesting explanation for the lack of instructions and also offered some...
Steve,
You know you got me on the roster! I just hope we don't have to pay any Union dues... wait, do we have to pay Union dues?? Hahahah
It would be cool to have a few more LE on here.
Hey moparzepjr,
a couple weeks ago I was on eBay and I saw a seller who was selling a set of these same 71 upper door panels but they were in white. However, I was later watching a show called Garage Squad where they restore people's classic car. On the show, they had white vinyl seats for a...
