"Groovy" is good. (I love that word. It's really bitchin'.)

    Then and now.

50 years ago I bought my first brand new car upon returning from Vietnam: A blue 1972 Plymouth Roadrunner with a 340 Magnum engine and a 727 transmission. (I regrettably ended up selling that RR some years later.) However, 50 years later I found another beautiful blue '72 Roadrunner, also...

Do I have factory power steering or conversion?

Does anyone here have factory power steering along with a broadcast sheet that has the P/S box checked off? Is there any way of telling if it's factory P/S or a P/S conversion box?

Do I have factory power steering or conversion?

I'm in need of a new steering gear box. It definitely is power steering, but I can't tell if I need to replace a factory power steering box or a P/S conversion box. I got out my production broadcast sheet to see what my bird originally came with. Does the absence of any numbers in the check...

How many of you are armed when you take out your Mopar?

These days, anywhere you live can potentially become an unsafe place to be. No longer is violent crime restricted only to the "bad parts of town." I understand that if you're uncomfortable around firearms and/or local laws don't permit it, then carrying a gun may not be a viable solution...

    Swapping out steering wheels...

Hey Ritchie, Is the new one you got noticeably thicker? That's the gripe I have with my stock RR wheel is that it's too darn skinny to hold on to.

Thanks, Russ. I'll give them a call.

I need a new steering gearbox for my '72 RR.

Question: The Borgeson part# 800126 is listed as a power steering "conversion" box. Since I already have power steering and don't need to convert to it, should I be looking at a different part number?

I need a new steering gearbox for my '72 RR.

That's exactly what I've heard from several other sources. Thanks!!

    My new carry...

I've got one, too. Very fine weapon. The stock wooden grips were a bit too small for my hands so I installed the larger rubber grips. (I think the grips are Hogue made for S&W.) This is mine shown here with my model 629 .44 Magnum "snubby."

I need a new steering gearbox for my '72 RR.

My RR's power steering gearbox is in need of replacement. I'm seeing gearboxes on-line ranging in price from $180 to $750. What are the benefits of the different steering ratios? Anybody have a recommendation for a specific high-quality box for my '72 340/727 Bird and where it can be...

    1971 Roadrunner front chin spoilers

I still have a few minor mechanicals to be addressed. But after that I'm going to find out if it can be done right without breaking the bank. If I can't find a quality auto body shop that is absolutely confident that they can perfectly match and blend the top's color with the bottom, then I'm...

"The Roadrunner Cafe" in Seligman, AZ

If you're ever traveling the old Route 66 between Flagstaff and Kingman, swing through Seligman and enjoy the town's historic theme and great restaurants. One of the best places to dine happens to be called The Roadrunner Cafe, which full of Roadrunner memorabilia (both the car and our...

Can I call it a "4-door Roadrunner?" lol

Hey Dan, Hmmm . . . . I didn't think of it that way. I could even say that my bicycle currently identifies as a Roadrunner.
