I love F8, especially on a 70 so recommending something else isn't easy. But I do like C7 and K3. Nice Challenger, Big John!

    A12 Banners

Hey, guys Thought I'd post this over here and see if there is any interest in reprints of the 2009 Carlisle banners we had printed for the A12 reunion. Tried to get 10-15 done from the Carlisle folks but ended up with only a few so am working with Ed B. @ Carlisle to get another run done for...

    Rain

Take it easy off the line. All that oil on the intersections with a fresh rain will make the tail end of that hemi car want to come around and say hi! :drive: :jester:

http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/tech/oil/oil_camwear2.html Lifters were $175, comp cams #2901-16. The motor has at least a couple of hours of break-in and dyno run time and about half of the valves needed adjusting by the end of the runs. Check out the article above, good reading on the...

We used the 440Source springs& dampeners for the break-in with Rotella 20W-50 and plenty of comp cams break-in additive. EDM lifters were also chosen to provide more oil to the cam lobes. Will keep an eye on the lash until I get a feel for how well it stays in spec.

We didn't get the outboards solved but a piece of electrical tape over the top edge of the throat and down over the bleed holes cured the problem temporarily. Mike B @ a12mopar.com suggested the pods may be leaking where they join to the carb body so I will start there. I didn't expect this...

    Show Me Your Engines

Just got back from my lunch break. Will put my 2" Doug's Headers on in place of the 1-7/8" fenderwell headers he used to break it in and do some initial tuning. Jetted at 66s in the center and 84s in the outboards and my headers made 598hp and 652lbs/ft of torque :loco: , so we're done...

    Show Me Your Engines

Here are the basics: I bought the block and started working on a wish list in early 2006 and being the first engine I had ever had built I wanted to be sure it would be streetable on pump gas. After a few PMs with Cab Burge on Moparts I started down the road of building a solid lifter motor...

I think it will be! :jester: Care for some numbers anyone? 560 hp, 630 ft/lbs torque  , slapped the carbs and intake on from the old motor, threw in the old distributor and not much for tuning. In the last couple of months I swapped in ProMax metering blocks in and a Pertonix...

    Bias-Ply tires

I'm with Roadcuda and 69hemibeep. :D Bias ply tires scream OEM and look great on these old cars. I put Firestone redlines on before Carlisle in '05 and have about 6000 miles on them. If I rebuilt the front end and had the car aligned it would handle pretty good, but with a loose steering box...
