Might just consider replacing them. One thing to consider is the seals on the pivot are one of the most notorious sites for leaks. And now is the time to update them at your current ease of access.

    1969 Roadrunner Full Restoration

Organization is total key to success. You seem to have a good start on it. Some parts are harder to find than others. Such as trunk lids and rear seat. Having that much room to work is also a big plus. I’m jealous. Best of luck and welcome!

Is this a good engine to build for the car?

Someone in the cars life possibly did something they shouldn’t have to the original engine and found this replacement. There should be plenty of parts available for it. The bigger concern is has it been bored out before and if so how much. And does it need to be bored more to clean up cylinders.

Need tire recommendation to get hook up

I have made a couple passes with them. ( nitto 5555 r 2) they did much better than street tires with which I didn’t stop spinning until third gear. I still had to feather a little coming off the line. I’m still learning as a driver so I’m not so sure my experience would be same as for you.

    A12 hood hinges

Stole the idea originally from Ian roussou ? And I did make a mock up to make sure I cleared the grill. It’s close but I don’t hit the floor. Going back up is very easy, lifting it out is tougher but still doable with one person.
