Nice, I see an Air Grabber but no N96 on the Tag. Is it a numbers matching car?

Can you do a better job of cleaning off the tag? I can't see the lower numbers/letters and some of the items on the right end.

Hey! Sorry,I just saw your message. Will wipe off tag tomorrow and get a better picture. Guy said it was all original, but you know how that goes.... will post tomorrow!

Are you sure about the 2488130? Could it be 2468130? The 88 part of the number is not a casting number that I can find anywhere. I have my doubts this is a matching number engine. The casting number won't tell you this though, the serial number should be stamped on the block.

The fender tag doesn't have the N96 code for the Air Grabber, which you obviously have. So that looks wrong, but it is an easy add. I did it with my car. I'm thinking J25 for 3-speed wiper would be there if it was an air grabber, but I don't know. This may be assumed and not stamped if N96 code is there.

Experts would know this question, I'm not an expert. The 5-18-67 casting date would make more sense this was originally in a 1968 car. But this casting code 2468130 was on 383's up to 71, so I don't know. From what I can see of the engine it is the correct color for a 1969. Can you see any blue paint on the engine anywhere?
