68 RR progress

So do you have a 383 Anthony with a four speed. If so they are some pretty good HP motor when supped up. On the other hand a 440 is a good up grade. If I can burn some rubber then that is about all I want now day's. Building this runner I have really want a dependable and comfortable car to drive. But still want to here the rumble of the cherry bomb's. Keep us up on the build as it progresses love to see what other guy's are doing with their runner's. Russ. :thumbsup2:

Have a 68 440 hp motor to go in it and the original 4 spd. Should have some rumble and if I can afford the fuel injection dependability.

That sound's grate. That 440 ought to give you some kick's. I like fuel injection but still love the old four barrel carb's. I rebuilt so many old Holley ones that guy's brought theirs to me to rebuild. Made money to put things on my car. Well keep us up on the build buddy. :thumbsup2:

Well Bob where is the pic's of them. I tired the thrush muffler's back in the day and they where so cheep I went back to the cherry bomb's. The thrush weren't much better than a regular muffler as far as the metal went. the cherry's was a much thicker gauge metal and lasted a hole lot longer. What dose the turbo's run you on price. Russ. :thumbsup2:

2 1/2 exhaust with flow master 40's mufflers and people know you are coming . it woke up my 383 she is running stronger now just because of it can breathe now .

Did they give you instruction's on how long to let it cure before working on it. If it is clear coat - base coat I would wait at least 7 day's or three week's is even better. Just my two cent's. Being fresh paint it will stay soft for a while. She looking good. Russ. :thumbsup2:

who ever is the closest to the car he can take his eyes off of it  and I don't blame him she is awesome

Just like a painter admiring his own work. Once you paint a 17 foot boat it is a feel of accomplishment. Beautiful job. :kartman: Or he is thinking it is time for that six pack. :drinks:!!!!!!!!!

It's single stage, said to wait at least 3 weeks to cure before working on it. Still have to paint the light blue metallic on inside of doors and pilllar but he's going to do that in his garage. They LOVED that color after it was all painted!
