More likely, it's the spacer on the fan or the clutch that is the incorrect length.

I agree with John. I can get the dimensions of the clutch later but is your running the 5 blade fan that comes with that clutch the blades are built farther forward than the standard 7 blade

I have the same radiator, 7 blade fan,1 1/4" spacer, and my fan is 2 1/2" from the rad.

You need a clutch that is an 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 from water pump surface to fan mount surface. There is a Hayden for a Jag that works, some one on here will have the part # if its not in the tech section.

You should have a shroud to work with the clutch fan and the fan should be about a quarter to half way into the shroud to work properly.

If your water pump or lower hose goes to the drivers or left side the top hose is on the right. This would be a 26" max cool set up.

Wait a minute... You have the right radiator (22") for a 69 383 Roadrunner.

The fan doesn't fit correctly, so you want to replace the radiator. Do I have that right?

Ok lets put the brakes on. If that's a 22" radiator it uses a spacer, no clutch or shroud. You were talking clutch and I figured you had the 26" max cool.

Bob did the 22s never have a shroud? I thought I read somewhere they were optional.
