That would make sense, black on red. And it would be early production if they are testing the car. I don't think anyone on any of the forums have come up with black after January first 69 have they :popcorn:

So far almost no one has posted SPDs... my two SPDs narrow any possible date related change to betweeen October 15, 1968 and January 21, 1969. I believe someone on Moparts with black screens had a SPD of November 7, 1968... narrowing the window a bit further.

Still looking for real back-in-the-day color pictures, SPDs/Build Plants for cars that the original screen color is absolutely known...

I dated a hand model a few times while I was between wives. She was really nice, a former trophy girl at the local race tracks, tried out to be a Playboy bunny once and was a personal friend of Barbie Bentons(!)
