Love the new paint Dutch  I wondered how you were doing with the engine build. Make sure you post a video when you get the car finished and running.

Hemi is a big pain in tha Ar*e.
Looks like the damage is so great it's cheaper to buy new strocker set(572).
So only thing left to re-use are the block and heads.LOL

Also am going to CompCam(solid roller) with the custom FastMan efi lobes and duration. 24-000-9.

Will be a beauty new year with the bright orange HeFi in the engine bay.

2014/2015 will be the next color change.
Maybe something common ? Like Blue ?:D

That looks great Dutch! If you had to give up the green that is a great choice. It will be a head turner going down the road. :drive:

Thanks RoadCuda.
Always wanted a S&M RR . But a friend of mine Always told me not to do this as I could no longer sell the car???

Just thought about it and sell the car ??
I will die in the car.

Hefi will be ready February and hope to make my first drive 26th April next year.
Bummer you don't have 72 days in May.:D

Maybe the next paint change will be in 10 year and will be Butterscotch.

I had the honor of meeting and talking with Ronnie Sox at the Mopar Nationals in '93. He was working on his Barracuda in the pits. He was a very down to earth gear head that truly loved race cars. I told him that I always wanted to clone one of his Road Runner race cars. We talked for about an hour and he told me a lot of things about the cars. One thing he told me was that they never had a true '69 Road Runner race car.
They used the '68 from the previous year. they changed out the grill, removed the side markers, changed the trunk lid, quarter exts. and tail lights.

Yep , have done some research. The 68 was used for the 1e half of 69.
Then they got theA12 and that's the one I am shooting for.

@basketcase: will keep the slots. Had the Project sixpack before and bought these wheels new. Not planning on getting a 100% clone/tribute.
Decals will not be same(99%). Also have some major plans for the 6bbl hood.
Think cuda/challenger:sneakiness:

slots are great too. I had thought they didn't change the '68 grill. One of the mags dod a story on the current owner of the '68 car(probably about 10-15 years ago) and according to the story Ronnie couldn't remember whay everything but the grill was changed. and we all know magazines are always correct.

I must have lost track of your other thread Dutch. Last I knew there wasn't much wrong with your engine. Wasn't the engine new?

Dutch's and Uncle George's engines suffered from the Great Hemi Plauge of '13.....
