Think I'll take the Milodon oilpump and lid with the external single pick up and static inside 7qt pan.
Will not see >6000rpm.
that works

Re: F&B 6BBL XFI2.0 572Hemi(close shave)

Just back from Mopar Nats Switserland.
Was nice meeting.
1600 miles round trip.

But Hemi Bird went back home on a trailer.

Suspect a conn rod bearing is about to give way.

Stopped direct and will tear engine apart asap.

No more running/riding this season.

Feel sick at this moment.

Re: F&B 6BBL XFI2.0 572Hemi(close shave)

that sucks Dutch! hope it's nothing major.

Re: F&B 6BBL XFI2.0 572Hemi(close shave)

Have ordered the external oil pick-up from Milodon and need that first to check the position and clearance.
Then will pull the engine and take it apart.

Will give update in about 4-5 weeks.

Did some dis-assembly this weekend.

Almost everything is gone from enginebay.

Just have to wait for the Moroso external oil system.

Also have to re-route the fuellines away from the exhaust/headers.

Just wish some-one (with a hemi in a 68RR) would have warned me before.

Will also use the time to put a new colorscheme on the car.
Something with Red/white and blue.
Maybe something with 2 names

i dont remember what oil system your going with.....single/dual line?.......get a swing gate pick-up( hit the brakes....moves forward...hit the gas moves backwards.....you may as well buy a accumulator too.....3 quart ......pre-lubes before you start engine and can also set it up for low oil pressure too

Nope Basketcase.
That not it . That's a 68 RR

George .
Thinking of the Moroso single with static pick-up inside the 7 qrt pan.
Accusump is a good idea but do I realy need this.

Have the bronse geardrive because have a crane sollid roller cam.

But all options are open.

was told by my engine builder the bronze gears lasts about 1500 miles.....gotta keep an eye on that
pre-lubing engine before dry start up is a great idea.....ton of money in that hemi

OK. 1500 miles. Wow that's short.
Then will buy new one.

Where do you connect the hose from the accusump to?
To the rear of oil gallery (1 of the 2 connections at the rear)?

Photo would be nice.

actually it's both. S&M updated the back end to '69, bt left the '68 grill.

they sell you an adapter that fits behind to oil filter......so easy

Already have the sandwich adapter for external oilcooler there.
Would this be an issue George?

Basketcase ? So in 69 they had a 68 with 68 grill and 69 taillights?
And in 69 1/2 they drove the A12?

Sox & Martin, like many teams, had several cars. road runner,GTX, 'cudas. I have a mag around here somewhere that has the '68/69 road runner in it. At the time of the story, a guy in North Carolina owned it. He had talked to Ronnie about it, and he had said that in '69, they updated the car to look like a '69, but couldn't remember excatly why the grill wasn't changed (he thought some guy in New York had got the last avalible '69 grill for his '68 1/2...........) And I know Dick Landy updated his '70 Challenger to '71 & '72 specs. Or maybe it was a '71 changed to '72. It's the one that was restoed a few years ago.
