Purchased this 69 roadrunner a few months ago. Its a 383 727 . Manual brakes. Disc front drum rear. Tidy car. But does have some shit body repairs. Rust in rear boot extensions. Nilly repaired them. Tail shaft had gone through floor in 2 spots. But im happy with it.
Fixing front torn section where the shaft smashed its way through . Was trying to tack the torn metal together. To beat up.
Looks like fun. I had to put a hole new floor pan in the one I have and what a nightmare. Someone before me half ass cut the old floor pan off at the inner rocker then put in a new pan. Pulled the first one off then had to clean all the other off. Made for double work. Keep up the good work and hope you can enjoy driving that runner soon. Russ.
Found a pic on the net of my roadrunner at muscle cars at the strip 2017. Jusr before it got shipped to Australia
When i picked it up, i drove it around for a few hours with a mate with his bigblock gm. Was fun. Doing silly shit on back roads.
If you can't have fun with them then why own one. These car's always got a second look from people. Not a run of the mill production car. Also their are not that many out their like other car manufacturing one like Vet's and Mustang's. So be proud brother. Russ.
There was another white one for sale not long ago around here, no motor or trans, pretty straight body, but he wanted $12k for it I think. Good to see another Runner brother down under!
yes there is a lot of vettes and chebbys and fords .so when I bring my runner out to a show ( out of town) people flock around the car and ask questions about the car . have made a lot of friends due to these cars and people have been giving me mopar stuff from back in the day from dealers so my garage is getting full of this stuff and I love it carrying on the history of these cars .( mopar or no car )
