the shell is dented and dinged and painted rat rod silver

so its rat roddy or hot rod enought that i'm thinking the stock looking or some chrome woven mesh

hmmm...we get woven mesh at work they use to make guards, but it's not chrome of course. could you use that? might be able to find a scrap chunk.....

Alternator is mounted too low for my tastes. I like them WAY up high so everyone can see them...most important part of any impressive engine presentation... :basketcase:
